Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecan
- 1 cup mashed banana
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add baking soda to buttermilk.
- Add buttermilk mixture to sugar mixture.
- Add eggs, flour, salt and vanilla.
- Stir in nuts and bananas last.
- Bake in greased loaf pans or muffin tins at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 60 minutes.
